Bangladesh has a large youthful population with an unmet demand for further education, and a growing capacity for study overseas. We will explore some of the problems with the current education system in Bangladesh and the reform measures being implemented to deal with these problems, as well as the key features of the education system to be aware of when assessing applications from Bangladeshi students.

 This seminar will cover the following comprehensively:

  • School-leaving qualifications – structure, quality and entry to higher education
  • Post-secondary options
  • Higher education institutions in each country
  • Undergraduate and graduate qualifications – structure and characteristics of Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees
